An accountability court of Lahore has initiated proceedings against PTI leader Moonis Elahi for being a proclaimed offender during investigation into a case of billions of rupees corruption in development projects.
Accountability court judge Naseem Ahmed Virk conducted a hearing on an application of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
During the proceedings, NAB presented a report before the court and said that according to the compliance officer, Moonis Elahi was currently abroad.
The non-bailable arrest warrant notices for Moonis could not be complied with, he maintained.
The report further requested that the court should start the process as a proclaimed offender against Moonis Elahi.
Taking action, the court ordered to issue advertisements of Moonis and adjourned the proceedings till November 6.
