Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder had always talked about promoting vandalism in the country.
Addressing an event, CM Maryam lambasted the embattled party, saying, “The permission of staging the politics can be given, but not terrorism. Today, they [PTI] had called the protest, but hardly up to seven people poured on to the streets.”
She recalled the tenure of the deposed prime minister, saying, “The person who is now behind bars at Adiala jail had never announced free medicines. I have always heard about vandalism and attacks on police.”
“It is on my accounts that the PTI had called for the protests. But always remained unsuccessful. The situation was such that they [PTI] had compelled to bring people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP),” said CM Maryam.
She maintained: “The PTI could not even manage to gather 2,000 people in Lahore’s public gathering.”
