Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has organised a series of events across the country to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza, marking a full year of ongoing Israeli atrocities.
The events included rallies, seminars, and fundraising camps, all aimed at raising awareness and honoring the memory of humanitarian workers, doctors, teachers, and other martyrs who lost their lives during the conflict.
The central event took place at Khayaban e Jinnah Road, where key figures including Secretary General of the Alkhidmat Foundation, Syed Waqas Jafri, CEO Khubaib Bilal, Director Programs Hamad Akhtar, and Director Media & Marketing Umair Idrees, along with senior management, volunteers, journalists, and civil society members, gathered in large numbers.
Speaking at the event, Syed Waqas Jafri emphasized that the Alkhidmat Foundation commenced its rescue and relief operations for the people of Gaza on the very first day of Israeli aggression, and this effort continues unabated. To date, Alkhidmat Foundation has provided 2,707 tons of humanitarian aid, including food packages, beds, blankets, tents, prepared meals, medications, and other essential supplies.
Jafri also highlighted the routes through which aid is being delivered to Gaza from Pakistan, Egypt, and Jordan. Additionally, the Alkhidmat Foundation is actively supporting Gaza’s students studying abroad by providing scholarships and essential funds to help them continue their education.
He announced that plans are underway to establish a field hospital near the Rafah border in Gaza to aid the countless injured and sick, with implementation expected to begin soon. The ongoing conflict has resulted in over 42,000 reported deaths, more than 96,000 injuries, and over 10,000 individuals missing. Attacks on hospitals, educational institutions, mosques, and churches continue.
Jafri reassured that the people of Pakistan will not leave the innocent children, men, women, and elderly of Gaza to face these hardships alone. He reaffirmed the commitment to providing moral support and continuing the flow of humanitarian aid to those in need.
