Both the government and military leadership are witnessing the positive impact of their measures to alleviate the electricity crisis and restore the economy.
According to statistics, a rigorous crackdown on electricity theft has led to the recovery of over PKR 121 billion from more than 85,000 culprits so far. In October alone, relevant authorities collected PKR 1.42 billion from power thieves in cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, Islamabad, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta.
The report indicates that during October, 121 electricity thieves have been apprehended, and the authorities remain committed to their efforts until electricity theft is eradicated across the country.
