Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan vowed on Friday to follow the instructions of the deposed prime minister in connection with the constitutional amendment.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Khan said: “The PTI and allied parties have held a meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. We formed a joint strategy yesterday with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Yesterday, we resolved to reach consensus on the constitutional amendment.”
“The special parliamentary committee had prepared a draft of the constitutional amendment. We obtained the fourth draft of the constitutional amendment on behalf of the incumbent government,” he stated.
“It was during our meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman that we came to know that the committee has prepared the draft,” he stated.
“We have reached near-consensus with Maulana Fazlur Rehman during our meeting,” he stated.
Speaking about Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Khan said: “Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had also come to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman. But Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was in another room, so we had not talked with him.”
