The Pakistan Army, in collaboration with Special Communications Organization (SCO), has established the region's first freelancing hub at Government Boys High School Darel, marking a significant development in digital education infrastructure for the area.
School Principal Ehsan Ullah confirmed that the facility is the first of its kind in Darel Valley, designed to provide students with comprehensive training in online business, freelancing, and digital marketing skills.
The hub aims to enable students to develop and showcase their projects at both national and international levels, offering new opportunities for youth in the remote region of Gilgit-Baltistan.
"This center will serve as a platform for students to learn modern digital skills and participate in the growing online economy," Principal Ehsan Ullah stated during the inauguration ceremony.
The facility is equipped to provide training in various aspects of digital entrepreneurship, focusing on practical skills needed for online business development and management.
Local community members and youth representatives have welcomed this initiative, recognizing its potential to bridge the digital divide in the region.
The project represents a significant step in bringing digital opportunities to remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, aligning with national efforts to promote digital literacy and entrepreneurship.
