Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Kamran Murtaza said on Tuesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was not convinced to attend the parliamentary committee meeting.
Expressing his thoughts, Murtaza said: “The PTI will not attend the parliamentary committee meeting. Asad Qaiser had confirmed me as the PTI members were also present.”
“We had also conveyed Fazlur Rehman’s message to Asad Qaiser,” said Murtaza.
Earlier, it had been reported that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to attend the parliamentary committee meeting.
According to details, the political temperature continued to intensify as matters pertaining to the appointment of the new chief justice of Pakistan arose. In this regard, Rehman had held a telephone conversation with PTI senior leader Asad Qaiser.
On this occasion, Qaiser had sought some time to whether attend the parliamentary committee meeting or not.
