Security forces killed four militants of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) - referred to as Khawarij - in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past two days, as reported by the military's media wing on Sunday.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan on October 26 resulted in the death of two Khawarij during a fierce exchange of fire.
One of the deceased was identified as Insafullah, known to be involved in various terrorist activities.
In a subsequent operation on October 27 in Khyber district, security forces effectively engaged a Khawarij hideout, leading to the killing of two more militants and injuring three others. A significant quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from the slain militants.
The ISPR noted that the killed terrorists had been implicated in numerous terrorist activities targeting law enforcement agencies and innocent civilians. The area is currently undergoing clearance operations to locate and eliminate any remaining militants.
