Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha returned to Mumbai on Sunday after being stranded in Israel amid the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The actress was visibly shaken and emotional as she landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
Nushrratt was in Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival, where her film Akelli was screened.
On Saturday, when the attack took place, Nushrratt's team told India Today that they spoke to the actress shortly after the attack, but they had lost touch with her since Saturday afternoon.
They said that she was in a basement of a building, protecting herself from the attacks.
On Sunday morning, Nushrratt's team confirmed that they had reconnected with her and that she was safe. The actress's team also said that she was on her way back to India on a connecting flight.
In a video shared by a paparazzo on Instagram, Nushrratt made her way out of the international airport in Mumbai and was immediately surrounded by the paparazzi and cameras.
The actress struggled to make her way out, pleading everyone to let her go home.
Nushrratt was seen fighting back her tears as she urged them to leave her. Soon, her team helped her out of the mob and safely escorted her to her car.
