Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on Thursday that the parliament has strengthened after the 26th constitutional amendment.
Addressing an event in Kala Shah Kaku, CM Maryam took a swipe at the opponents, saying, "Even when we come to power, they [opponents] are embracing foul language and hurl allegations.”
“Their [opponents] job is merely to spread unrest and orchestrate conspiracy. Now they will never come into the power again,” CM Maryam added.
She maintained: “The efforts are also underway to create a sense of misunderstanding between the government and farmers.”
Earlier on Wednesday, CM Maryam had laid the foundation stone of the Nawaz Sharif Hospital.
Addressing an event, CM Maryam said: “Punjab has opened its doors of resources for other provinces. In the form of a cancer hospital, our dream is about to be fulfilled.”
She said: “Nawaz Sharif has remained premier three times, so it is his right to keep the name after Nawaz Sharif. This hospital will be remembered as Pakistan’s only world class public hospital. The hospital will start working in the first phase earlier in 2025.”
