Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi said on Wednesday that the Indian national team will arrive to Pakistan immediately if Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government will give the permission.
Expressing his thoughts on Samaa TV programme “Zor Ka Jor”, Sethi said, "The PCB and BCCI cannot do anything in line with the arrival of the Indian team to Pakistan. The matter of the Champions Trophy remains in the hand of the governments.”
Sethi said: “The people from both countries want to see the India-Pakistan clashes.”
“Pakistan had travelled on many accounts in India to play cricket,” he said.
“The International Cricket Council (ICC) is clear if one country cannot hold the event then it can be shifted to another place,” stated the former PCB chief.
Speaking about Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah, Sethi said: “I had a detailed conversation with Jay Shah in Kuwait and Thailand.”
