The Punjab University (PU) has postponed its on-campus due to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) protest.
According to details, the PU spokesperson the classes will be held in routine. The various faculties’ heads will continue the classes online, physically, or in hybrid modes.
Separately, in light of the escalating tense situation following the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests, authorities in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and Murree have announced the closure of all educational institutions on Monday.
Similarly, the Balochistan Education Department has declared the closure of educational institutions across the province in response to a wheel-jam strike called by a dharna committee in Quetta.
The Islamabad district administration has confirmed that all government and private educational institutions would remain closed on Monday, with a notification expected soon. Private schools associations have agreed to abide by the decision. The district administration's notification will be applicable to all educational institutions in the federal capital.
In Rawalpindi also, authorities have decided to close all schools and colleges in the city.
Murree Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi announced that all educational institutions in the hill station would remain closed in light of the current political circumstances. The notification will be applicable to all government and private educational institutions in view of the current situation, he added.
On the other hand, all schools, colleges and universities in Balochistan will remain closed tomorrow due to a wheel-jam strike against the kidnapping of a businessman. All examinations scheduled to be held in educational institutions will also be cancelled, the education department announced.
