In a significant development, the federal government officially modified the working hours for its offices located in the capital city, Islamabad.
This change, aimed at improving efficiency and aligning with international standards, was announced in a notification issued earlier today.
Starting immediately, all federal government offices in Islamabad will adhere to the revised office timings.
The new schedule will be in effect from Monday to Friday and will see federal offices opening their doors at 8:30 AM and closing at 4:30 PM.
This alteration represents a shift from the previous working hours of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, a move designed to accommodate the needs of both government employees and the public they serve.
In addition to the adjusted office hours, employees will be granted a 30-minute lunch and prayer break, scheduled from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
