Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bokhari said on Thursday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will have to negotiate with the political parties only.
Expressing her thoughts on Samaa TV programme, "Nadeem Malik Live," Bokhari challenged the PTI of doing "any adventure", asserting, "Imran Khan wants anarchy in the country."
"The PTI founder has asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister to not accept the IG," said Bokhari.
She maintained: "The PTI founder has talked today at the Adiala jail."
Acknowledging the "efforts" of the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif-led government, Bokhari said: "The government has saved the country from the quagmire."
"The country's economy is getting back on the track," she said.
Bokhari stated, "The investors are coming to invest in the country. The US investors have also concluded their visit recently."
She also mentioned about the premier's meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Speaking about PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry, Bokhari said: "What Faisal Chaudhry is talking about the police officers is not true. The name of Faisal Chaudhry was not mentioned for the meeting with the PTI founder."
"Faisal Chaudhry meets with the PTI founder with the protocol," said Bokhari.
She added, "The Punjab government had not issued any instructions to stop Faisal Chaudhry. There would had not been any issue if the jail administration had showed the list to Faisal Chaudhry for a meeting with the PTI founder."
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts on "Nadeem Malik Live", PTI lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said: "Imran has prioritised the national interests over his personal ones."
Chaudhry said, "The PTI founder has said that giving an extension to Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa was a mistake."
Shedding light on the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), Chaudhry said, "Is the assembly that approved the controversial PECA Act considered as democratic one?"
"We have suspended talks with the government, but the negotiations with the rest of the opposition are underway," said Chaudhry.
He asserted, "Despite the efforts of the government's negotiation committee, my meeting with the PTI founder was not held."
Chaudhry stated, "Rana Sanaullah had said that I would admit the government's failure if the meeting would not happen."
"I was made to sit in the jail superintendent's room for over an hour. I was asked to not leave a room without permission," he added.
