The police detained more than one hundred suspects during extensive search operations across Punjab to ensure security for the tri-nation cricket series and the Champions Trophy.
According to the police, four hundred and twenty-seven search and combing operations had been carried out across the province in the past twenty-four hours. Authorities interrogated 17,200 individuals, while 160 suspects had been taken into custody.
The police reported that detained individuals would be released upon verification of credentials.
Over the course of one month, 12,000 one hundred and twenty-eight search operations had been conducted across the province, including Lahore.
All available resources had been utilised to strengthen security for the cricket series, ensuring comprehensive safety measures, said the police.
