Privatisation Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Saturday extolled the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his team.
The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) president commemorated the first anniversary of the general elections by holding a special event at the party's office on Upper Mall Road. The occasion, attended by the IPP president , the Federal Minister for the Ministry of Food Security and Research, along with other party leaders, was marked by a cake-cutting ceremony.
Aleem Khan expressed his support for the coalition government at both the federal and provincial levels, emphasising that they would continue to work together for progress.
He said, "We have not seen a single scandal in any department; this is also a credit to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif."
Aleem Khan paid tribute to the performance of PM Shehbaz and his team, stating, "I hope that if the government is given another four years, Pakistan will be much better off. We must all contribute; if the country survives, so will the honour of its people."
He said: "The nation and its dignity are intertwined with the politics of the people, urging them to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to assess the state of hospitals, schools, and institutions."
"Why haven't those who have governed for four years brought rivers of milk and honey? Let the people breathe a sigh of relief. Reject negative politics," he remarked.
The federal minister highlighted the ongoing improvement in inflation, the cost of living, and the banking sector rates.
He said, "The desires of those who wanted to see the country go bankrupt have been crushed. Through strengthening the economy, we are alleviating the suffering of the people."
Aleem Khan maintained: "Pakistan, one year ago, was in a much worse position, and today, the country was in a far better and more positive state. Pakistan now needs constructive, not destructive, politics."
