President Asif Ali Zardari left for Lisbon on Sunday to offer his condolences on the death of Prince Karim Aga Khan.
During his visit, President Zardari was scheduled to meet with Prince Rahim Aga Khan to express his sympathy following the loss of his father.
Earlier, President Zardari had returned to Pakistan from an official visit to China just one day before his departure for Portugal.
While in Lisbon, President Zardari was also expected to meet with the President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The funeral rites for Prince Karim Aga Khan had taken place in Lisbon, with Pakistan represented by Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb. The Prince’s burial, however, took place in Egypt.
