The security forces eliminated 10 terrorists in the Bagh area of Khyber district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed on Monday.
The intelligence-based operation was launched following credible reports of terrorist presence in the region. A sanitization operation is currently underway to clear the area of any remaining threats.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the successful operation, stating that the government and security forces are united in their resolve to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan.
“We will continue to crush the nefarious intentions of the enemies of humanity in the same way. The war against terrorists will continue until their complete elimination,” the PM asserted.
President Asif Ali Zardari also lauded the efforts of the security forces, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to wiping out terrorism.
"Our brave forces are conducting successful operations to suppress the forces of Fitna-ul-Khawarij, and we will not stop until terrorism is completely eradicated," the President stated.
Both leaders reiterated that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the security forces in their fight against terrorism. The ISPR reaffirmed the military’s determination to eliminate terrorism and ensure long-lasting peace in Pakistan.
