The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) agreed on Wednesday on a joint strategy for ensuring peace and development in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to details, KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi had hosted the key meeting of both the PML-N and PPP on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Rana Sanaullah, Amir Muqam, Sardar Yousuf, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, Shuja Khanzada, and Ahmed Karim Kundi.
During the meeting, it was resolved to make a joint strategy for sustainable development in the country.
The allied parties had expressed their reservations over unrest, economic crisis, and political instability in KP.
It was decided to contact the like-minded political parties for the uplift of the province.
Both the parties agreed to continue the process of consultation for the overall prosperity of the province.
The participants had paid glowing tribute to the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.
