The United States Embassy in Islamabad has strongly condemned the brutal attack on the Jaffar Express train and the hostage-taking of passengers in Kacchi, Balochistan.
The assault, which was claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) -- a US-designated global terrorist organization -- has drawn widespread condemnation.
In an official statement on its X account, the US Embassy expressed deep sympathy for the victims, their families, and all those affected by the tragic incident.

"We strongly condemn the attack on the Jaffar Express train and the hostage-taking of passengers. The Pakistani people deserve to live free from violence and fear," the statement read.
Reaffirming its commitment to Pakistan’s security, the United States pledged to stand by the country in its efforts to combat terrorism. "The United States will remain a steadfast partner of Pakistan in its efforts to ensure the safety and security of all its citizens. We stand in solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time," the embassy added.

The rescue operation to recover the Jaffar Express hostages from terrorists has entered its final stages, as per security sources. Amid the ongoing security operation in Bolan, Balochistan, the departure of the train has been suspended for three days due to security concerns.
According to security sources, 190 passengers have been safely rescued so far, while 30 terrorists have been killed during the operation. They said that a large number of hostage passengers, including women and children, who were being used as human shields, have been rescued.
