Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz said on Saturday those who once proclaimed Nawaz Sharif's political career as concluded will now witness his comeback.
In a spirited address during a homecoming rally for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, she expressed her gratitude to the thousands of participants who had gathered from across Pakistan to witness the historic event.
She noted that despite the overwhelming turnout, numerous supporters remained outside the rally area.
Maryam Nawaz also paid tribute to her father, saying, "I will not waste my words today, as this is Nawaz Sharif's day."
She emphasised the resilience of the former prime minister, who, despite facing numerous adversities, had returned to his homeland with his head held high.
Maryam Nawaz also took a swipe at PML-N's political opponents, highlighting their earlier claims that Nawaz Sharif's political career had come to an end.
She pointed out that those very opponents were now watching Nawaz Sharif on television, as he had been bestowed with honor by the Almighty Allah.
Recalling a historic moment in Pakistan's history, Maryam Nawaz attributed the success of the country's nuclear tests on May 28 to the determined efforts of Nawaz Sharif, which had made Pakistan's position unassailable on the global stage.
