Pakistan will observe Eid Al-Fitr today (Monday) as the Eid moon sighted in Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad and other parts of the country.
According to details, the Eid moon was sighted in Lahore shortly after Maghrib Azaan on Sunday.
The moon sighting committee was set to convene shortly to observe the Shawwal crescent.
Committee's chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad said: "Eid will be observed tomorrow as the Shawaal moon was sighted."
In Karachi, the moon was expected to be visible for a brief period of 70 minutes. According to the predictions, the moon could be seen from 6:39 PM to 7:57 PM.

President Asif Ali Zardari felicitated the nation on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. "I would like to extend my felicitations to the entire nation and Islamic world on Eid."
"This joyful occasion begins following the religious obligations and blessings of Ramadan."
"The Higher Power has gifted this auspicious occasion to us after fasting for a month," said President Zardari.
He maintained, "Now the responsibility lies on us to keep the feelings of honesty, love and sincerity alive."

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended Eid greetings to the entire nation.
In his message to the nation, PM Shehbaz said, "I would like to felicitate warm greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Fitr," the premier added.
"It is a day that teaches us to embrace happiness, thankfulness, sympathy," he said.
The premier stressed the need for maintaining the same spirit like Ramadan.
"We will have to protect the country for all kinds of extremism, hatred and sectarianism," said the premier.
He said: "We will not let any conspiracy becomes successful."
He stressed the need for embracing unity for the sake of country's stability.
"The onus lies on everyone else to ensure the uplift of the national integrity and economy," he said.
He lavished his praise on the valiant soldiers, saying, "The soldiers of Pakistan Army are sacrificing their lives for the sake of the country."
Emphasising the need for remembering the Palestinians and Kashmiris, the premier said, "Pakistan have always stood with the Palestinians and Kashmiris, brother, and will continue to stand with them."
He urged the global community to play role in stopping the violation of human rights.
