Security agencies in Punjab have compiled detailed records of Afghan women residing in the province, including their locations, ages, and legal statuses.
The data indicates that out of 6,308 Afghan women, 1,828 live without proper documentation, with the highest numbers found in Rawalpindi and Gujranwala.
In Rawalpindi, 720 undocumented Afghan women have been identified. Gujranwala has the highest number of documented residents, with 3,398 women possessing Afghan Citizen Cards. Lahore has 296 women holding Afghan Citizen Cards, while 419 reside without documentation.
Regarding age distribution, there are 1,915 Afghan girls under the age of 18, 2,987 women aged between 18 and 35, 921 women aged between 35 and 50, and 485 women over the age of 50 residing in Punjab.
These findings highlight significant concerns regarding undocumented Afghan nationals in Punjab.
Authorities are urged to implement measures to address these issues, ensuring national security and the well-being of all residents.
