The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority said on Friday that three companies were issued a VPN licence under the class category.
According to details, the PTA spokesperson said: "By obtaining the licence in time, suspension of the services can be prevented."
"The objective of the licence is to ensure adherence to the existing regulatory framework," said the PTA spokesperson.
The PTA spokesperson said: "All VPN service providers operating without a licence should immediately ensure they obtain the required class licence."
