Polling to elect the new Supreme Court Bar Association president has begun, and a tough contest is expected between the Hamid Khan and Asma Jehangir groups.
From the Hamid Khan group, Mian Abdul Qudoos is vying for the president’s slot, while Sultan Huzoor is contesting for the secretary’s office.
While the Asma Jehangir group’s nomination for the top slot is Shehzad Shaukat, and that for the secretary is Syed Ali Imran.
Around 3,775 lawyers are exercising their right to vote in the polling process today. For the SCBA elections, 12 polling stations have been set up across the country.
The polling process will continue till 5pm.
