Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman engaged in a telephonic conversation on Monday.
JUI's spokesperson privy to the development said that the conversation primarily revolved around inquiries about Maulana Fazlur Rehman's well-being, with Nawaz Sharif expressing genuine concern for the JUI chief's health.
He added that both leaders demonstrated a commitment to addressing national issues through mutual agreement and cooperation.

During the conversation, Mian Nawaz Sharif conveyed his desire for an early one-on-one meeting, emphasising the importance of direct dialogue to address the pressing issues facing the nation.
The spokesperson further elaborated on the leaders' dedication to finding common ground and working towards collective solutions.
