Oldest surviving regiment in the British Army—UK Artillery Company Regimental Band—have performed and mastered Pakistani pop anthem Pasoori, a Coke Studio Pakistan masterpiece by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill.
The UK Artillery Company Regimental Band is the oldest surviving regiment in the British Army, tracing its history back to 1537.
British High Commission in Islamabad tweeted and shared a video with a caption: “The superb UK @HAC_Band have mastered this Pakistani pop anthem... can you guess what it is!?”
The artillery band said: The performance ‘Pasoori’, a tune made popular by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill are a highlight for our audiences.”

As part of visit to Pakistan, the HAC Band had visited students of the Islamabad College for Girls. The band is in Pakistan at times when British Army chief is visiting for defense engagements.

The HAC Band played a short concert before welcoming the Corps of Drums to join the band in the finale, boosting the percussion section excellently, and were led by their conductor.
“After the performances, the students were eager to ask us questions and learn tips from our percussionists. Pakistan urges Taliban to ensure honourable settlement of returning Afghan refugees,” the statement reads.
Also, the HAC Band said it is proud to be working in Pakistan, providing musical support to His Majesty The King’s Birthday Parties at The British High Commission.
“The band will perform at engagements throughout the week & are taking the opportunity to rehearse for the next few days,” it said.

Coke Studio Passori was the global sensation and dubbed in multiple langiages and also topped spotify charts. The song was launched with a caption: "Let’s transcend boundaries and bridge distances through compassion, love and identity." It proved its mettle in the musical arena worldwide.
