Bilal Pasha, Bannu Cantonment Board chief executive officer, who committed suicide by shooting himself, has been laid to rest on Tuesday.
Hailing from Abdul Hakeem, a suburb of Kabirwala, Bilal's demise has left a profound impact on his community. The funeral prayer for Bilal Ahmed Pasha was held on at 10 am in Qaisar Town, Abdul Hakim, where family, friends, and well-wishers paid their respects and bid farewell to a man who made a lasting impact on the community.
The sudden demise of Bilal Pasha has sparked investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death. District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu conducted a thorough examination of the scene and has preliminarily indicated that the incident appears to be a case of suicide.
Reports from the investigation have suggested that Mr Pasha was undergoing domestic disputes, possibly contributing to the stress he experienced. His recent transfer from Bannu to Rawalpindi, where his ex-wife holds a significant position, might have added to his tensions.
The police’s initial findings pointed to a single gunshot wound inflicted with a 9mm pistol, leading to Bilal Pasha's tragic passing. Post-mortem reports aligned with the apparent suicide scenario.
