A policeman was martyred on Wednesday when the robbers opened fire on him in the Machka area of Sadiqabad.
The firing by the robbers has claimed the lives of five farmers, including a woman.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a police party quickly arrived at the scene and engaged in an encounter with the bandits.
A police spokesperson had confirmed that the exchange of gunfire is ongoing between the bandits and law enforcement.
During an intense firefight, two bandits linked to the Shar and Kosh gangs were killed. The dead individuals were identified as Umar Shar and Komo.
