Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman said on Thursday that India had a home advantage in the World Cup.
Expressing his thoughts in Karachi, Zaman recounted that the entire team was frustrated after the World Cup debacle.
He drew a line of demarcation between the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and domestic cricket circuits. “There is a difference between the PSL and domestic cricket circuits in terms of facilities. The facilities in domestic cricket are better than before, but there is a margin of improvement.”
He made it clear that his priority is to represent the country at the international level.
Speaking about the Pakistan tour of Australia, Zaman said: “The Pakistan bowling attack cannot be underestimated in the Australian shores.”
– Wanted to become player of tournament –
Few days back, Zaman said that he wanted to become the player of the tournament at the 2023 World Cup.
Expressing his thoughts on the sidelines of the National T20 Cup in Karachi, Zaman said: “I tried to avail myself of whatever opportunity I had during the World Cup. It would have been great if we had make it to the semi-final or final."
Speaking about the victory against New Zealand in the World Cup match, Zaman said: “As we were chasing over a 400-run target, we wanted to move our game to the next level. I had to stick to the role of making batting for my partners easy by playing aggressive cricket.
He underscored the notion of fortune in cricket, saying, “On your day, you can do anything for cricket.”
He lauded his Abbottabad Region team, saying, “The team is quite brilliant, as we have depth in both our batting and bowling. If we get theright combination, our team can emerge as the best of the National T20 Cup.
