An improvised explosive device (IED) blast on Versik Road in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, injured seven people inlcuding three children on Tuesday.
Two wounded children are in critical condition. According to rescue officials, an explosion occurred near a private bank and a school on Warsak Road in Peshawar.
Two children were injured in the explosion, and have been shifted to a nearby hospital. Warsak Superintendent of Police Arshad Khan, the incident took place near the Peshawar Public School at around 9:10am.
The police said that there was explosive material that blew off. The security forces have cordoned off the area after the blast.
The caretaker chief minister condemned the attack on Warsak Road and sought a report of the explosion from police officials.
The Chief Minister prayed for the speedy recovery of the children injured in the explosion and instructed the hospital administration to provide the best medical care to injured children.
Peshawar School Blast CCTV footage
The CCTV of the explosion on Warsak Road in Peshawar surfaced. According to the video, the explosion took place at 9:11 AM. The explosive material was installed in the divider in the middle of the road.
Traffic was as per routine at the time of the blast. The blast caused severe damage to nearby buildings. In the video, a police mobile can be seen passing by a few seconds before the explosion.
Updates from hospital
The Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) spokesman said four people including three children injured in the Warsak Road blast.
There are 3 injured children, their ages are between 7 and 10 years, spokesperson LRH said.
"The condition of two injured children is critical," the spokesperson said.

2014 Peshawar school massacre
In the 2014 Peshawar school massacre, 149 people including 132 schoolchildren were killed by terrorists. On 16 December 2014, six gunmen affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) conducted a terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar.
