Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ahsan Iqbal asserted on Wednesday that the country had to face the consequences following the deposed premier's "statements" against China.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the former planning minister recounted the contributions made by his party in Balochistan. "We have established the universities to a record level in Balochistan between 2013 and 2018."
He vowed that it was the part of the PML-N's plan to alleviate poverty in Balochistan.
Iqbal asserted that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is the "ray of hope" for the people of Balochistan.
– Competent govt –
Iqbal said on Tuesday that there is a need for a "competent" government in a bid to steer the country out of the economic quagmire.
Speaking to media in Lahore, Iqbal took a swipe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying, "The PTI had left the country backward. The PTI did not bother about the supremacy of the parliament."

The former planning minister recalled the events that transpired on May 9. "The PTI went on to indulge in vandalism on May 9".
"The PTI wants to stage the politics of unrest," Iqbal said.
