Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Friday characterised the £190million scandal as the most "significant instance" of embezzlement in the country's history.
Addressing the central parliamentary board meeting in Lahore, the former prime minister underscored the importance of revealing the "culprits" behind the country's financial malfeasance.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the governance of the former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Nawaz lamented the "underwhelming" performance of a recent entrant into politics. "The person who was imposed on the country in recent times had harmed the country’s economy," he added.

Underscoring the enduring manipulation faced by the country over the past seven decades, Nawaz questioned the apparent lack of accountability for the former PTI chief's alleged involvement in a 190 million-pound corruption scandal.

"The PML-N is committed to serving the people and steering the country towards development and prosperity, rather than merely seeking power," Nawaz Sharif said.
Acknowledging the party's resilience in the face of adversity, Nawaz Sharif recognised the difficulties but maintained a stance of perseverance.
