Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ahsan Iqbal asserted on Sunday that the former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief had dragged the country into an economic quagmire due to his incompetency.
Addressing a corner meeting, the former planning minister said: “Everybody had witnessed that the inept leader, who had harmed the country, is now in Adiala Jail.”
Recounting the tenure of former president Pervez Musharraf, Iqbal said: “We had to face many cases during the regime of Pervez Musharraf.”
Iqbal lavished his praise on PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, saying, “Nawaz Sharif has always steered the country to development. He [Nawaz Sharif] had also addressed the problems in line with the power outages.”

Few days back, the former planning minister asserted on Wednesday that the country had to face the consequences following the deposed premier's "statements" against China.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, the former planning minister recounted the contributions made by his party in Balochistan. "We have established the universities to a record level in Balochistan between 2013 and 2018."
He vowed that it was the part of the PML-N's plan to alleviate poverty in Balochistan.
Iqbal asserted that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif is the "ray of hope" for the people of Balochistan.
