Internet services and widely used social media applications experienced disruptions on Sunday evening, with users from various parts of the country reporting connectivity issues and errors.
People expressed frustration over their inability to access popular social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and the streaming giant YouTube.
According to downdetector.pk, Google services and the internet service provider PTCL also encountered disruptions around 5 pm on Sunday.
Downdetector's graphs indicated a significant surge in connection outages for YouTube, X, and Facebook.
As of now, the cause behind the outage remains unclear, as the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not released any statements on the matter.
