The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday decided to award the Senate ticket to Talal Chaudhry.
The party had also decided to award the tickets for two provincial seats to Talal Chaudhry. Sources revealed that Talal Chaudhry’s father, Ashraf Chaudhry, will contest the elections from PP-101.
From PP-100, Khan Bahadur, who was nominated by Talal Chaudhry, will contest the elections from PP-100.
According to the sources, Talal Chaudhry had been informed about the party’s decision.
Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that Chaudhry faced exclusion from the forthcoming elections on Thursday.
The development came after a ticket was awarded to Malik Nawab Sher Waseer from NA-96 Jaranwala.
Malik Nawab Sher Waseer, previously triumphant on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ticket in the 2018 elections,.
In the 2013 elections, Talal Chaudhry secured a seat as a Member of the National Assembly from the same constituency.
Talal Chaudhry encountered legal challenges in Faisalabad due to a disqualification in a contempt of court case.
Meanwhile, expressing his thoughts, Waseer said, "Nawaz Sharif personally conveyed his congratulations and embraced me for securing the party's ticket."
The supporters distributed sweets, endorsing and acknowledging this decision and solidifying their backing for Nawab Sher Waseer's candidature in the upcoming elections.
