Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Ishaq Dar said on Thursday that the armed forces gave a befitting reply to Iran.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, the former finance minister said: "We can get rid of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) within three years. It will be up to the next premier to decide whether to approach the IMF or not."
"The PDM-like government will come into power, with the majority belonging to us [PML-N]. There will be no issue to go for the alliance with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), and JUI-F if we [PML-N] come into power," Dar said.
Speaking about PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Dar said: "Nawaz Sharif had given the clear message of taking the country out of the quagmire by working together."
"If Nawaz Sharif becomes premier, he will decide the finance minister," he said.
Speaking about Justice Ijazul Ahsan's resignation, Dar said: "It is good for everybody that Ijazul Ahsan has tendered his resignation. Whatever Ijazul Ahsan had done was not in the favour of the country."
