The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided not to extend the date for submission of tax returns, however, the last date may be extended on prior application to the Commissioner concerned.
The FBR has set the last date for filing income tax returns on September 30, which has been decided not to be extended, however, the last date can be extended by 15 days on prior application to the concerned commissioner.
According to FBR officials, more than 1.7 million people have filed tax returns so far and the income tax returns are likely to cross Rs 2 million by September 30.
