Pakistan cricket team head coach Gary Kirsten has submitted a detailed report outlining the reasons behind the team's poor performance in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Sources indicate that the report, labeled "confidential," was sent to Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
Senior Manager Wahab Riaz had already submitted his report a few days prior. Chairman Naqvi is reviewing Kirsten's report and will consult with board officials and former cricketers to make informed decisions regarding the team's future.
Kirsten's report highlights several critical areas, including players' discipline, attitude, and awareness of the game. He has also raised concerns about the fitness levels of the players, which he believes contributed to the team's subpar performance. In addition to identifying problems, Kirsten has offered suggestions to improve the team.
Kirsten addressed these same issues in his speech at the end of the World Cup, and he has now documented them in his report.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to decide the team's future once the consultation process is completed.
