The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced free entry for cricket fans to the ongoing first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Rawalpindi on the fourth and fifth days.
The decision is aimed at providing an exciting opportunity for residents of the twin cities and surrounding areas to make the most of their weekend.
In a gesture aimed at boosting attendance and allowing families and students to support their favourite cricket stars, the PCB has waived the ticket fees for the weekend. Fans who have already purchased tickets for these days will receive a full refund.
Those who bought tickets online will have their money automatically refunded to the credit or debit card used for the purchase, while those who purchased tickets at Express Centres can visit the facilities with their original tickets to claim their refund.
Spectators who desire to catch the cricket action can enter the stadium free of charge by presenting their original ID card or B-form. This offer includes access to VIP and premium enclosures, although the admission policy does not apply to tickets purchased for the PCB Gallery or Platinum Box.
For added convenience, the PCB has arranged a free shuttle bus service on the two match days to transport fans to the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The buses will operate on two routes: the first route will run from Aviation Ground Rawal Road, Murree Road to the Allama Iqbal Park entrance, and the second will operate from Government Satellite Town College for Boys, Sixth Road, Murree Road to the Allama Iqbal Park entrance.
