Tragedy struck Kurram district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Saturday as a mortar shell explosion claimed the lives of three innocent children and left four others injured.
The incident occurred in the village of Mutkhuzha, where the children stumbled upon an unexploded mortar shell while playing.
According to reports, the children, unaware of the danger posed by the explosive device, began playing with it.
Tragically, the mortar shell detonated, causing a devastating blast that instantly killed three of the children and left four others severely injured who were moved to a nearby hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the source of the mortar shell and prevent further tragedies.
They have also urged the public to exercise extreme caution and report any suspicious objects to the relevant authorities.
