A delegation led by Caretaker IT Minister Dr. Umar Saif participated in the recently concluded Pakistan-Qatar IT Conference held in Doha. Aim is to create collaboration between Pakistan and Qatar in the realm of technology,
The delegation comprised representatives from the Special Investment Facilitation Council and the Pakistan Software Export Board, along with the active participation of Zohaib Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association, and 30 prominent IT companies.
Dr. Umar Saif expressed satisfaction over the warm reception received by Pakistani IT companies in Qatar and highlighted the positive progress made on bilateral technology issues.
The primary objective of the conference was to enhance relations between investors and companies from both nations.
"We want Pakistani and Qatari companies to collaborate, sharing investments and expertise," stated Dr. Umar Saif.
He emphasized the potential for developing a common and secure platform in crucial fields such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Dr. Saif underscored the substantial efforts made by 30,000 IT companies in Pakistan, working diligently to connect the nation to the digital world.
Furthermore, he revealed that Pakistan is producing 75,000 IT graduates annually, demonstrating a commitment to providing world-class training.
"Pakistan's IT talent and companies are globally recognized," declared Dr. Umar Saif, highlighting the country's standing in the international IT landscape.
The conference served as a forum for dialogue and collaboration, paving the way for a stronger partnership between Pakistan and Qatar in the rapidly evolving field of information technology.
