In a separate development on Friday, MQM-P witnessed leaders Raza Haroon and Anees Advocate switching their allegiance to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) ahead of the upcoming general elections on February 8.
The two former MQM members officially joined PPP after a meeting with former president and PPP’s co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari, in Karachi.
Zardari welcomed Raza Haroon and Anees Advocate into the party, and during the discussions, the politicians explored topics related to the 'charter of Karachi,' focusing on development, peace, security, and fostering a friendly environment in the city.
