Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza have confirmed their separation after the former announced his marriage to actress Sana Javed earlier in the day.
Shoaib and Sania’s son, Izhaan, will stay with his mother, as per reports.
On Saturday morning, Shoaib Malik announced his second marriage with well-known actress Sana Javed and shared the good news with his fans through pictures on Instagram.
The former captain captioned the pictures: “Alhamdulillah” along with a Quranic verse about people being sent into the world in pairs.

After Shoaib Malik's latest marriage, his separation with his previous wife, tennis star Sania Mirza, has also been confirmed, and according to sources, both have decided to separate through mutual consent.
Indian news agency PTI quoted a family source as saying that "it was a 'khula'", referring to a Muslim woman's right to unilaterally divorce her husband.
It should be remembered that rumours of divorce between Shoaib and Sania, who tied the knot in April 2010, were circulating since December 2022.
After their separation, the couple has decided that their son Izhaan will stay with his mother, and both will bring him up together.
It should be noted that the couple had Izhaan on October 30, 2018 after eight years of marriage.
