Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) took a nationwide crackdown on drugs and recovered 125 kg of drugs recovered in 13 operations and arrested 18 suspects.
Conducting a raid at Allama Iqbal International Airport, 109 capsules full of heroin were recovered from a passenger intended to travel to Sharjah from Lahore.
ANF spokesperson said that in a separate raid, 700 grams of ice drugs were found from a passenger going to Doha from Multan Airport.
Separately, 241 heroin capsules were recovered from four passengers traveling from Peshawar to Sharjah.
As per the spokesperson, 46 kg of opium, heroin, hashish, and ice were seized from two suspects in Gujarat while two kg of opium, 16 kg of hashish, and a kilogram of suspicious material were recovered from Dalbandin —in district Chagai of Balochistan province.
Three different operations were conducted in Islamabad wherein 23 kg of hashish was recovered from suspects including a woman. Separately, six suspects were arrested from Hyderabad, Attock, and Jamshoro as authorities seized drugs.
