PTI leader Shehryar Afridi has voiced his dissatisfaction with the party's leadership and decision-making processes, and issued them threats in a public gathering.
In a series of statements made in Kohat, Afridi's remarks were directed towards several key figures within the PTI, including Omar Ayub, Barrister Gohar, and Shibli Faraz. He questioned the removal of his name from the list of the party's Senate candidates from Kohat.
The PTI leader made these remarks after submitting an application to be a senator; however, Omar Ayub Khan, Sher Afzal Marwat, and Ali Amin Gandapur, along with other senior PTI leaders, rejected his name. Some reports suggested this was about the exclusion of Afridi's name from the list of 14-member political committee of the PTI announced recently.

"I want to ask my leadership. I ask Omar Ayub, Barrister Gohar, Shibli Faraz. My name went to the Senate from Kohat, so who removed it?"

Expressing his frustration, Afridi emphasized that the PTI was not beholden to any individual, asserting that the leadership could not make decisions themselves. He warned of potential consequences if his concerns were not addressed, stating, "I am silent now, don't force me to explode."
Afridi also criticized the party leadership for embracing individuals who had previously worked against the PTI and its founder, Imran Khan, saying even now there were some "snakes" within the party.
He asserted that he would speak up openly and that he was not afraid of show-cause notices. "This is my last message to the party leadership," he warned, saying, "These people are sharing positions among themselves, this sharing will not work."
He said the PTI should not tolerate such behaviour and vowed to oppose any attempts by these individuals to gain positions of influence within the party.
Afridi's outspoken comments reflect growing tensions within PTI and highlight the need for internal dialogue and resolution to address concerns raised by party members.
