A large-scale sports festival is scheduled to take place in South Waziristan from October 1 to October 26, organized by the Pakistan Army in collaboration with the Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa South. The event aims to engage tribal youth in sporting activities alongside their educational pursuits.
The festival will feature competitions in cricket, volleyball, and football, with 136 cricket teams, 97 volleyball teams, and 146 football teams from South Waziristan participating. Matches will be held across ten different locations throughout the region.
This initiative seeks to cultivate a renewed interest in sports among the local youth, complementing their academic activities. The organizers hope to inspire enthusiasm and positive energy through these athletic competitions.
