A 22-year-old man is facing charges of burglary and theft after allegedly posing as a mannequin in a shop window in Warsaw, Poland, to steal jewellery after closing hours.
The incident occurred in an undisclosed store where the man stood still, blending in with the mannequins, until he believed it was safe to move.
After that, he roamed through various departments and ultimately targeted a jewellery stand.
Store employees and shoppers didn't notice anything unusual until he was spotted by security personnel.
The accused is also facing charges in two other incidents. In one instance, he dined late at a restaurant in a shopping centre and waited for it to close.
Afterward, he entered a clothing store, changed his clothes, and returned to the restaurant for another meal.
He was caught on CCTV crawling under the partially open shutters of the clothing store.
In the third incident, he waited until closing time in another location and took money from several cash registers while attempting to steal other items.
The man has been remanded in custody for three months and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Warsaw Police have released images of his arrest.
