Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited Bahawalpur Cantonment, where he was briefed on the operational preparedness and training of the Bahawalpur Corps.
During his address to officers and troops, he commended their unwavering dedication, high morale, and combat readiness.
General Asim Munir emphasised that rigorous training remains the foundation of a soldier’s professional development and should continue to define the Pakistan Army’s approach in countering the complexities of modern warfare.
During the visit, the army chief inaugurated three major initiatives:
- CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) – A new medical education facility aimed at advancing healthcare and research.
- Innovista Cholistan – An IT-based initiative promoting technological advancements.
- Integrated Combat Simulator Arena – A cutting-edge combat simulation facility enhancing training capabilities.
These projects reflect the Pakistan Army’s commitment to medical education, technology, and combat preparedness.
At CIMS, General Asim Munir interacted with students from various universities across Bahawalpur, underscoring the army’s commitment to nurturing the nation’s youth. He encouraged them to strive for academic excellence with dedication and equip themselves with skills that contribute to national development. He reiterated the pivotal role of youth in shaping Pakistan’s future and reaffirmed the army’s support for initiatives that empower young talent.
Earlier, upon arrival at Bahawalpur Cantonment, COAS General Asim Munir was received by Bahawalpur Corps commander.
