Jehanzeb Amin, the husband of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter Khadijah Shah, has challenged the detention order imposed on his wife in connection with the incident that transpired on May 9.
The incident had led to Khadijah Shah being subject to a 30-day detention under Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) 3 by the Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC).
Amin's legal challenge contends that the MPO order is set up on baseless allegations, portraying it as a violation of the law.
The petition filed in Lahore High Court names several respondents, including the federal government and Lahore DC.
The petitioner seeks the court's intervention to prevent Khadijah Shah from being taken outside the boundaries of Lahore and claims that the notification of detention issued by the court is unlawful.
